About me
Hi, my name is Man Hong Chan, but everyone calls me Mathis and I provide automatic driving lessons.

Welcome to my website.

I’m licensed by DVSA to give driving instruction on a trainee licence. I trained through the well-respected national driving school LDC Driving School. Driving has been a passion of mine ever since I was legally old enough to get behind the wheel - I passed my driving test over 24 years ago and haven’t looked back since.

With a professional background that involved driving and staff training, I understand not only the skills needed to drive safely but also how to teach those skills effectively. I enjoy meeting new people and believe that everyone deserves to discover the freedom and joy that driving can bring.

Originally from Hong Kong, I now live in Nottingham with my wife and son. In our free time, I love going on scenic drives with my family, exploring the countryside and enjoying driving on different roads. I hope I can help my pupils find the same excitement and confidence in driving safely.

I teach using the unique LD system, which provides a structured and flexible approach tailored to each learner’s needs. I truly believe this method can help people from all walks of life learn to drive at their own pace and in their own way.

Whether you’ve never been behind the wheel before, or you already have some driving experience with another instructor, you’re very welcome to get in touch and book a lesson with me. Every journey starts with a first step - and sometimes that first step is simply deciding to give it a go. I’m here to guide you through it, one step at a time.
